Invention Convention

Invention Convention!

First, I would like to thank all of the parents and helpers for their hard work throughout the process of the Invention Convention! The Invention Convention was held last Friday, April 7th and it went very well. All students from 6th through 8th grade participated in this activity. From top to bottom, all of our students did an outstanding job not only coming up with an invention, but also displaying their invention and giving presentations. I was amazed at the things that they came up with!

2/21/2017

Hello everyone!

This weather is amazing, isn't it? I can't believe we are not even to March but we have hit 70 degrees at least three times. It makes me excited for spring break!

A few reminder for the upcoming weeks:

  • This Friday, February 24th, will be a spirit day for one dollar
  • Ash Wednesday is March 1st
  • Auction will be March 4th (you don't want to miss this!)
  • Iowa Assessments will be the week of March 6th through March 10th
That's all for now! Here's a couple of pictures of various things that we have been doing in the last week or two!

The 6th Graders are learning about gravity in science so obviously we had to use our ingenuity to create things that could shelter eggs from breaking from different heights!

The 8th graders are learning about the Earth's oceans. We used the virtual reality glasses to explore various oceans around the world. Technology is pretty crazy!

Also, don't forget that Friday is grandparents mass and we would like to see you all there!

These are the pictures (top to bottom) from our awesome trip to the movie theater to watch Hidden Figures, the sports day activities, and last but not least our class pictures from sports day! Tune in the rest of the week for more pictures!

Seventh grade parents, we are still looking for parents to undertake the basket and silent auction item for the auction that is approaching. If you have any ideas or are interested in taking this on, please contact me!

1/17/2017

Hello everyone!

I hope everyone enjoyed the ice storm and was able to wait it out, safe and sound, inside with your families.

Just a few things coming up:

  • Our seventh grade mass is going to be tomorrow, Wednesday, January 17th. We would like to invite everyone to attend.

  • Next Friday, January 27th, is our next spirit day.

  • The St. Malachy gala and auction will be here before we know it, on March 4th. If any 7th grade parent would like to take over our class basket and silent auction item, it would be much appreciated! If you have any interest at all, please get a hold of me!

  • Have a wonderful last stretch of winter! It will be 90 degrees before we know it! (at least I can wish!)
